Hi there!
I'm Matthieu Landour and I'm an award winning franco-british director, writer and illustrator currently living in London.
I was born and raised in France and studied APPLIED ARTS in Paris at ENSAAMA Oliver De Serres and the direction and animation school SUPINFOCOM in Valenciennes. I met fantastic people there.
My first animation short film, En tus brazos, a tango dance drama codirected with Edouard Jouret and FxGoby, won awards all around the world and had the honour of being screened at the world tango championship finale in Buenos Aires in 2007.
As a duo with FxGoby, we directed together many commercials for prestigious clients all around the world such as Coca Cola, Tropicana, Olympic Committee, .. We worked with Nexus, Chez Eddy, Mr Hyde and had the chance to collaborate with many talents in the industry. Our collaboration ended in 2012.
My second major short film, The elaborate end of robert ebb directed with Clement Bolla and FxGoby, toured in festivals and was awarded several times, including an award at the Clermont Ferrand short film festival. It was bought by the prestigious tv Channel Canal Plus.
My collaboration with Canal Plus continued with my third major short film, Zerom2, a multi awarded short film and screened in more than 100 film festivals.
it has also been bought by many tV channels all around the world.
Once more, I worked with talents who went above and beyond to make a brilliant film. The lesson is clear, you only make good films if you collaborate with great people, this is a team effort.
In 2015, I started a collective with director and illustrator Bali Engel called BAT COLLECTIVE. Together we have been directing all around the world with prestigious clients such as FANTA, KELLOGS, BIRD, NCC, WACOM, DOMRU, ....
Our short film, SHOCK THERAPY, was released online in 2018 after travelling all around the world in festivals in 2017. We also directed together a live action short IRIS, I don't have enough good things to say about Bali Engel, she is an incredible artist, I am very lucky to work alongside her.
Recently, I finished another live action short Me and my mask, which is also a proof of concept for a tv series I am developing, World War Things.
Currently, I am developing 2 tv series concepts. Fingers crossed! I always have new ideas, always looking forward. This website is full of things and a little messy, have s troll, I'm an open book!
I also recently finished a 15 hours long story podcast, The 31000 and 45000, which is about 2 trains of members of the french resistance headed to Auschwitz Birkenau.
